I am not sure where to post this, but I am so PO'd that I am ready to scream!!! I found out just a little bit ago that the credit card my Mother and I use to shop online (I tend to use it more than she does), had NOT 1 BUT 2 fraudulent charges. It totals over $80.00! Of course, my Mom called the bank and put them on notice, but now I am TERRIFIED that I lose the internet access that I currently have. I am TERRIFIED my Father will decide that I can no longer keep my somewhat "free" access! I just wanted to warn all of you who shop online to watch your statements - CAREFULLY!

don't panic! This happens all the time, it's not your fault, it's just the age we live in. your credit card will write off the fraudulent charges and nothing more will happen. $80 is nothing to a credit card company.
Some credit cards will let you generate a fake number for a one-time purchase. My husband uses this a lot when he's buying something from a website that is not one of the major ones. You can check the website for your credit card, or call them, to see if they have anything like this. thea |
