Not with me, but I've heard this can indeed happen.

Hello Mel80, I find it interesting that you mention this. I do think the moon has something to do with body rhythms. I was on PC the other night reading posts after reading a few I wandered outside to check out the moon...Sure enough it was all most full! I could tell just by some of the posts.

"...spooky effects have been ascribed to the phases of the moon....But when the statistics are redone properly, the correlation with lunar phase always evaporates....Yet many sensible people—including police officers and emergency room staff—continue to believe otherwise." --Steven Strogatz
The article states:
The full moon has been linked to crime, suicide, mental illness, disasters, accidents, birthrates, fertility, and werewolves, among other things. Some people even buy and sell stocks according to phases of the moon, a method probably as successful as many others. Numerous studies have tried to find lunar effects. So far, the studies have failed to establish much of interest. Lunar effects that have been found have little or nothing to do with human behavior, e.g., the discovery of a slight effect of the moon on global temperature,* which in turn might have an effect on the growth of plants. Of course, there have been single studies here and there that have found correlations between various phases of the moon and this or that phenomenon, but nothing significant has been replicated sufficiently to warrant claiming a probable causal relationship. http://www.skepdic.com/fullmoon.html

Yes, I have been to a reading by James Attlee recently, author of Nocturne: A Journey in Search of Moonlight.
Many of the references to werewolves, madness, crime etc that you've mentioned above as well as to bodily cycles (menstruation cycles amongst them) have been made and different cultures and their beliefs in relation to the full moon have been explored. It was most interesting and I'm thinking of getting the book. Moonlight has obviously fascinated people and civilizations for a long long time and I find it all quite exciting as well even if I'm not sure whether I've really personally noticed any effects.
James Attlee was a wonderful speaker, too.

I'm looking forward to hearing more stories and experiences about the full moon.

personally, i love the fool moon, and walking under it's influence... we are 80% water, and the tides are clearly moon infuenced, but maybe it's like Seasonal Affective Disorder, and Light Induced changes ?? all in all, what does it really matter, in the grand scheme of things,, the fact of a moon, reflecting the sunlight, day or nite, as we circle endlessly among the other stars is enough of a mystery for me....

There's some scientific backing to the ideas of the effects of a full moon. Read about biorthyms...and you might also keep basic journal notes and then check what your biorhthm was for those days....

I know of police departments that kept their officers tied to the desk (so to speak) on their days of XX... and cut the number of traffic and weapon accidents substantially.
You can inquire of ob docs and hospitals that the number of women who go into labor on a full moon is higher than usual.

I think the positions of the planets, and moon especially, all have effects upon human bodies.

I've never noticed any effects on me personally, but the one piece of information that has stood out with me is that ER personnel believe that they are busier around the full moon.

I just enjoy seeing a full moon and gardening by the light of a full moon. Can't say that I've noticed any difference in my plants, though. LOL Watching a full moon come up is especially nice for me.

My grandmother wouldn't let me lay in the light of a full moon when I was a child. She said it would make my bones ache. However, when she left the room, I'd move back into the light of the moon. Don't remember having any aches and pains from it.

I was talking to my neighbor yesterday. She is pregnant and due. She had hoped the full moon would induce labor. I was a little surprised but I immediately thought...tidal effect ...maybe so
Unfortunately it did not have the desired effect. I checked online to see if there is anything to this. According to medical professionals there is no effect. There are tons of anecdotal "evidence." Her doctor will induce labor Wednesday and they will have a beautiful baby girl
The moon is very special to me regardless of phase. Each phase has it's own particular beauty. As far as biological or psychological effects from a full moon... I think not. None that would not require highly sensitive machines to detect
Enjoy the moon.

Whenever I see the moon now I always remember my daughter when she was little, she was so dam cute, she would sing a little song "The moon, the moon, the moon"
and dance along with a smile.

it's funny, it had pretty much no effect over the summer when I was living at really high altitude - isn't that weird?
