My best fried just celebrated her 15th year sober. I want to make a speckal greeting card for her. is there something special about "15" years of sobriety? She goes to A.A. meetings. I''m not an alcoholic, so I don't know the meeting lingo.

BUT, I want to make it very person for her. not just slogans. One thing I thought was to make a soberiety meter, starting at 1 going to 15 with cute saying or something on the different levels. Sort of like a chart, or a ruler ..... HELP!

We both have a wicked sense of humor, and I want to make it very funny.

I posted here to get as many commens as possilbe.

I don't have any creative suggestions but I think it is a lovely and kind gesture that your friend will truly appreciate!

As a fellow comedian, with a moderately amusing T, I am learning funny isn't always the best way to go. Maybe there is a reason you need to go searching for ideas. I would just try to not be judgmental, which to me, an outsider counting the days kinda seems like. I would go more for a congratulations on your special day, maybe just even a really beautiful flowery store bought card that she can display at home for a while and simply enjoy the peace and beauty of. But I think is truly wonderful and thoughtful of you to want to recognize and celebrate your friend, really, your friendSHIP. Freud said, but where would you find such a friend? (ie who would listen to you as a therapist do) - you two are lucky to have found each other.
Thanks for this!

Thanks all. I did the card and gave it with a huge hug in return.

She loved her "sobriety meter". I made it a 'moving' card, so that her bottle of 15 year old sobriety rolled and twisted along a track. with a picture of a painting in Picoso (spelling?) style of a lady with red hair on the inside.

She loved it.
