Sorry if I'm bragging.
 I applied to volunteer for the Samaritans. Today I received an email saying I have been invited to attend a meeting. This is a good start for me! I'm so happy! I would love to help people. I know where it is. It's local in my area. It's all good

Good for you. I volunteer on a telephone support line, and while I find it challenging, I also find it very rewarding.
