Things that just sort of popped into my mind lately.

Every time I see a "Smart" getting ready to park, I wonder how many clowns will pile out of the thing

I watched a Nicki Minaj video, "Super Bass", and I have come to the conclusion that if you tossed a baseball at her butt, that it would slow down and assume a steady orbit.

You know it will truly be time for Occupy Wall Street to pack it up, when they invite the likes of Snooki and Paris Hilton to come talk about how the 1% got all of that money from doing nothing of value.

I do not understand why people who produce porn try to come up with catchy titles for their films, they could save a fortune in marketing costs by calling all of them:

"Sh....t you are not going to get to do, with people you are not going to get to do it with"

In the UK, I am convinced that David Cameron should appoint Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond to take over the Transportation Department. The UK would become an awfully fun place in a couple of years.

In a lot of those eighties movies, when a couple had just finished having sex and one turns to the other and ask "was it good for you?"

Come on, was anyone really going to say "not at all" ?

It never occurred to me.....the judge of a good butt is how a ball bounces off it. I remember this comparison before with Lady Gaga. Had to look up Miss Nicki's video and got confused because it looked like a stripper video. I wonder have the directors of these porn videos ever bothered to ask women if they enjoy what they're doing. The reason real women can't be found to participate in these Olympic sex acts is because its filmed in segments and they're acting. We would also rather get real facials in a salon and not during sex. My frustration isn't at you Tim but at the porn industry and society in general. Its pretty sad that Rhianna feels she has to strip to sell music.

Understood, Lynn. I think and not to get too deep into this line of discussion, some of the "actresses" are truly sex addicts (often the victims of some form of childhood abuse, Jenna Jamesson for one,freely admits this) so they find a way to profit from their addiction. Others are desperate for money, and think its a fun way to earn a living, but find often that it leads to some very negative consequences later in life.

I agree about music though, there is a point where the focus is about the looks and the sexuality as opposed to the talent and the expression. One thing I really like about Adele is how down to earth of person she is in interviews no airs, no pretense, no image, just a lot of heart and soul.

my friend (a devout catholic) took class on pornography (she studies psychology. Also don't ask). She said they viewed "female oriented porn" where long foreplay and being focused on the woman and much tenderness and "I-love-yous" was shown. (yeah, she had to go to church after she finished that class. Her priest was pretty over "i watch porn but for school!").

(yeah, and I am typing this here because talking about what I had to hear from my roomie is somehow therapeutic...)

I love Adele too and my daughter can play and sing 2 of her songs on the piano. I was enjoying one of Adele's videos and then read one comment that said they hate her and referred to her as a "fat *****" and I thought that's mean. She's not what I would call over weight ..... just curvy. I heard on the news last week, she suffered from a hemorrhage on her vocal cords - I hope she's still be able to sing.

I agree about the women in those porn vidoes and why they do it.

Adele has had that trouble for awhile, she used to smoke and finally quite recently, which may have been some of the cause, she has had to cancel some tour dates to rest her voice, hopefully she recovers fully.

I agree here with the way some of these young female artists portray themselves in videos these days. Why the women do it I'll never understand. Lynn, it's not just Rihanna though. The artist must have some say in how they want to make a music video. I don't know about you all, but when I watched videos several years ago, the typical scenario was men surrounded by lots of women, half naked, singing. It's like they couldn't come up with any other scenario. How boring. It's the sex sells BS I don't get.

I agree Deborah35 - me and my 13 yr old daughter were just talking about that a few minutes ago. We were talking about Mylie Cyrus and comparing her to Taylor Swift - both are very young but Taylor Swift has always been classy in her videos and clothes but she's extremely successful. It seems Mylie's popularity is fading. We were also talking about Lindsey Lohan and how she used to be so nice when she was younger - she was a talented young actress.

Your funny. Oh I remember when the rounder but came into fashion, well I felt suddenly very attractive. LOL and my geneology tends to have the now desirable buttocks. Oh just goes to show if one waits long enough their body type will become fashion.

I think we lost the art to entertainment with these young singers. I hate to see them all get older and seem to need to turn into sex objects that can sing as if it is a statement that they have finally reached adulthood. U seen one video you have seen them all lately, just listen to the singing and use your own imagination, that is the only art now.

Madonna changed everything when she started her raunch tour. Its old now like she is getting old.
