It was a busy, exhausting trip but I finally have my boy home!!!!!

We spent the first two nights at my SIL's new house in Chicago. I made him feel right at "home" his first morning back in civilian life.

I was the first up and had laundry to do. It's a new house and I had a general idea where the laundry room was, but unfortunately I was not as lucky with the light switch. Do you know how they wake up recruits? They turn on the lights. I turned on the light in the room he was staying in and the poor guy jumped out of bed and was standing at attention until he realized where he was.

Thank you for the update AAAAA, I am happy to know your son has returned to you safe and sound. I would like to thank him for his service, and wish him well in whatever he does in the future.
