What a friend told me that is really into horoscope signs is that there is more involved than just the basic sign. It depends upon what someones moon is in and jupiter is in etc that determines the whole personality and also wether or not there is compatibility with another sign. I don't know what all the different aspects in me are, yes I am a Scorpio but I could have other aspects of me that define my limitations or even can broaden just having a sign in Scorpio. I have to find out the time I was born yet to have a real chart done, I just never got around to doing that.

My grandmother (RIP) used to be quite the expert on astrology. She corresponded personally with Jean Dixon many years ago. I found it to be quite fascinating when I was young.

I haven't seen any other moon children here...I've got my sun in Cancer, Libra ascendant and moon in Virgo. I've actually got quite a few planets in Cancer. There is so much more to it than just your sun sign. I had my chart done professionally many many moons ago and it was pretty accurate, to be honest. You definitely need it done by a good astrologer though. Computer-generated charts can give you all the signs and aspects, but the real interpretation comes from someone with the training and intuition to read it correctly.
Now, newspaper horoscopes? Not so sure about those, but a good transit chart can be helpful.

No idea about the specifics of horoscopes, don't believe in them. According to the calendar, I'm a Scorpio.
