Mine is a nickname that I got back in high school. My English teacher was reading a story about this grumpy old man named Fred. That day in class, I was in a bad mood so she called me Fred. It became a daily joke and the nickname stuck. In 2003, I worked at a gas station in a small town and my boss and I shared the same first name. I didnt want the people off the highway to know my real name, so I put Fred on my nametag. It was fun to watch peoples faces when I told them, Yes, My Name Is Fred!!!!

the first part, Kris, is a variation of a nickname of mine... and "akira" was something i made up a few years ago that I thought sounded cool, so i put the 2 together to get krisakira... I use this name for several things online ..

Interesting post! Mine is simply b/c I feel like all I do is pick up doggie-do in the backyard of the complex. My dog is a pooping machine. Hence - DoggieDo.
Thanks for this!

this post it gives you an opportunity to get to know members a little better. My nick is short form for a name I was given by an on-line friend who passed away 2yrs ago, from Cancer, Thankfully it caught her and all of us by surprise, she got a little sick and then she was gone, at peace. She had had a very tumultuous life but was a light in the dark for many members. Out of respect for her & her memory I took the name on full time on all groups/sites I am a member of.
My actual nick is Namaste which basically means "I salute or recognize your presence or existence in society and the universe. We in truth are one." she said that the name just suited me as it matched what she felt I was as a person. Namaste was taken here so I just used the short form I usually do, it is a very popular name lol.

Blessings
Nams

Mine is just a name I like. Also, I particularly like this flower.
Since it is not real original, I had to tack on some numbers.
I wish I had arranged for my avatar and username to match.
Maybe I could change, or enhance, my avatar.
But I think changing my avatar would make me seem like a different member.
Well, I suppose it wouldn't. I may try.

Mine just describes me perfectly, because well I am a dog lover! I only have one, who I love dearly of course, but I also really love reading and learning about different dog breeds. I have social anxiety, and dog shows are one of the very few "events" I can attend without getting that anxious, fish-out-of-water, I-hope-no-one-sees-me feeling. So dogs are very dear to me oh and 5 is my favorite number!

Buggs has always been my favorite character, and for some odd reason I have always spelled his name with two Gs. Also, I have him tattooed on my back, so he's easy to remember. The only problem I have is that it makes people thing I am male, when I most certainly am not. Oh, and the tattoo part is a secret (LOL).

I chose my username happycheeks because I am mostly happy all of the time. I can get a bit too happy sometimes When I was little, I used to look so happy in the pictures. I think I kind of have chubby cheeks and I like my cheeks. hehehe That's how I got the name.

It reflect who I am - a soft and smooth outer layer but prickly and painful if squeezed too hard. Kid gloves recommended.
Or was it a tasty cocktail I once sipped?!

Insightful thread- thank you for creating it!
