How many of you hold either a part-time, full-time, or volunteer job?

Does being a student count? I'd consider that a job in itself.

I'm not going to add to the poll, but I'm on sickleave from a wonderful part time job.

I haven't worked since '98. Would love to get the pain and depression under control and return to the workforce again!

I work 3.5 days per week and also do a small amount of sefl employed work. I was also studying for a masters degree via distance learning, but had to defer that as I couldn't concentrate - due to pick it up again in a few weeks, although not entirely sure my concentration has improved sufficiently - shall dip my toe in and see.

Full time and I at times am thinking on adding either school or another job, part of me thinks I can do it, another part is fear of a push with a full break down instead of the mini ones that i have and can recover from for the most part.

I like working, I know that may sound odd to some, but it gives me something to do...

When i am at home i do sorts of work too-- I consider arts and crafts work to some extent but also relaxing. Cleaning and maintaining the apt is work as well, taking care animals and with the dog (i am trying hard to train him but some times that proves difficult for me at points),

I think people naturally work as well... being a parent is work, as some mentioned School is work,

Of course, I am one of these people that get teased with working.... i get told many times to relax and i have issues on doing that some times, other times not.

But-- Like Echos said-- there is no other choice for me other than work, even if I lost my job; best be finding another one-- and keep trying if I cant.

I work 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. I wish I could work full-time, but am too afraid of having another semi or complete nervous breakdown (I've already had 3 in a 2 yr period). Also wish I could get back to working with kids.

Not working right now, but I am diligently looking for a job. Need money. Need car. Possibly need therapist. Badly. Oh, and new makeup and a haircut. I hate not being pretty.
I get worried, though, because it's hard for a person my age and education level to find a job that isn't retail or fast food. And the last job I had (retail) did a number on my mental health and triggered all kinds of crap. But I'm getting more willing to risk that because my bank wad keeps getting smaller.

I haven't worked since 2006, a full time position at a hardware store. I started going downhill and had to get on disability.

Being a full time mom is more than a full time job.

I work from home administering my husband's business as well as my father-in-law's business. This gives me plenty of free time to myself and I love it that way. I think the stress free conditions of my job has kept me level. I burnt out severely in my last career.

I have not worked for some time and volunteered until recently. Due to a change in health, I have had to cut that out as well and am now only doing school. It was the wise thing to do but I miss it.
