Two viewpoints about the trauma suffered by those have experienced war. People truly may see the same facts differently. As a veteran, undoubtedly, there is no glory in war. I have been more fortunate than many since I was a photo interpreter. Still, when the bullets are coming your way, the adrenalin gets going for sure.

I've never been a combat veteran, yet I understand about wounds from battles. Being seen as a "combatant" and needing to endure unjust persecution, will affect me till death. Truth is the tragedy is there is no tragedy. People are being wounded everyday in this current day nightmare factory. lol

it changes once you have a weapon pointed at or you have done the same. looking down that barrel puts a whole new perspective on things.

not a combat vet but a vet of the war on terror. there is no glory in fighting. no glory in carrying a weapon or having the option of making that choice..shoot or don't shoot. the choice is what gets you to go home at night. & at times it is the suckiest call you will ever have to make..not a wrong or a right one..but just a call..no matter one you make someone will get hurt or killed..

unless you have been there or in a situation like it you can't know the terror (& like i said i can't imagine combat just only what path i have walked).

there really are no words..mine do no justice
