I thought I would start one big conversation, an un hi jackable thread!
A conversation in the now that leads where it may! A place for new people to start posting and older members to "PostChat" or "ChatPost" , you get the point right?

What they hey huh? I figured I'd try it. <--- I huged me
So.... Here goes nothing.

I am not the moderator , nor owner of the thread. All views and opinions are that of the poster and not that of PC or the originator. Have fun play safe and may the force be with you. Be kind to one another.

Tv character whos personality is closest to your own.... I would be Carrie from King of Queens.

Next, don't be shy...

One of my favorite books is Catch 22.

In temperament, probably Murphy brown. Looks? Beats me. Maybe a blond, hippy Roseanne.

I think atwood writes well, but I find her so depressing.

I am a huge monty python fan.

I HATE Monty Python. HATE IT.

I just.... UGH!

Now I'm

...

Ok, better now.

I bought several books on Friday, but I can't concentrate enough to read them. In fact, I still have like... four or five boxes of new books from when Boarder's was going out of business... I usually LOVE to read... but I can't concentrate worth crap lately.

I hate it when I cannot concentrate enough to read novels. It adds to the stress of whatever started the problem in the first place.

Have you tried the black adder series with rowen atkinson? I love that too.

Does that have hugh laurie in it? I think my boyfriend tried to make me watch it once.

Not a success.

I guess I just don't think random equals funny.

Cool thread!!!

The read The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender recently and that was fab, also The Colour Purple which will be one of those books that stays with me forever. But yeah, concentration is a sore point at the moment. I miss my books when this state of mind overtakes me.

Anyway, I've always wondered what this smilie means ->

Yes it had hugh laurie in it. I don't know what you mean by random. I find the dialogue funny. Not all of it, but enough. And red dwarf. I like british comedy.
Oscar wilde? Adore all of his stuff.

I personally would use that smilie when I was feeling sorry for myself but thought that I shouldn't be or it wasn't that big of a deal. Kind of a reference to "I'm playing you the world's smallest violin"

I have studying to to today that I have been putting off all weekend, and I SO. Do. Not. Want. To.

(again, with the not being able to concentrate thing)

I don't like lemon cake as a snack. I have heard about the book and mean to read it.

I think that smilie is the one like when people pretend to play the violin when someone is telling a whiny story. But I am not certain. I find smilies hard to figure out.

Yes. I do not advocate the use of smilies in general. But it is fine for those who want to. I am not on an anti smilie crusade or anything.

Oh no, I hope they don't move it. I don't want to talk to people I don't know!

I mean, new people are great, but I don't want ALL new people.

My therapist says she likes monty python but then never knows any of my references. I despair of ever finding a therapist who knows Gilbert and Sullivan. To bring therapists back into the thread.

oh, therapists.

I'm becoming way, WAY too dependent on mine.

I don't see how to fix this before it happens, either.

I wish he was my best friend IRL

In Therapy, you just have to talk through it. I had the same problem, but that faded once I realized a few things by actually processing with my T-or u can process here of course.
