why does it show up as offline here when it's online ...or is that just to my view?

my skype button below my mood appears permanently offline to me...just wondered if it does to others is all.

I don't have Skype so you're offline to me :-) saying I want to contact you takes me to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/home to download it; I haven't seen anyone else here who has a Skype contact button showing. I don't think people here socialize offline much because of security/"name" issues; we mostly are anonymous; if we make friends offline we then might give that friend our real name, email, ICQ, AIM, MSN Messenger, etc. stuff then.
