Politics are listed under inappropriate content in the rules.

quite untrue jimrat, they are under guidelines as topics to be discussed in appropriate places. And why do you feel the need to single me out? why not comment on all the other people in this thread and elsewhere on these boards that make political comments.

just do a general search, from my results I'm guessing 200 is the max return. there are 200 posts that comment on government and 200 posts that comment on politics. take your battle elsewhere.

I feel your post attacks people who live on benefits. Everyone has not chosen to be a "leach" and everyone doesn't deserve stereotyping. A lot of people here are on some kind of benefits wishing they could either find a job or be able to work at all. People have a hard time as it is.

So why not just ask for clarification instead of throwing sarcasm in there? I'm not attacking people on benefits, I'm saying the system discrimates against those who have no children. Why should I be punished and prevented from getting help because I do not have a child. I pay taxes so that programs like that can be run. So why do I have to pay into something that discrimates against me. I work because I have no choice. I don't have anybody to support me. I don't qualify for assistance due to my non parental status. Quite honestly the system is very flawed.

Who is "society" and how do you propose society bring back all the wonderful things you miss?

You totally miss the point don't you? Why is it that members here seem to like to pick apart the meaning of words used instead of looking at the bigger picture?

Oh hell I suppose you can call it pragmatism. Or maybe you can get the thoughts of David Jacobs since you don't seem to have your own. Or you can wish upon a star

Gee George you are just so incredibly helpful and supportive. I'm actually quite surprised I came across you on a support forum. You obviously have far too much intellect of your own to even begin to know how to put it to use

My post regarding missing the point wasn't even directed at you but like so many here you are too important for somebody's post not to be about you

Well the way it usually works is that unless you specify otherwise, it's assumed that you are addressing the previous poster. And since you are usually addressing "the members here" pretty much any one of us could have answered you couldn't we? I don't think your judgment on intellect means much. That may not seem helpful or supportive but that doesn't seem to be what you're here for.

Your post wasn't there when I replied. And you are here to be supportive? If you are you make it very difficult to see that. Ever since your friend took fire for her views you have done nothing but hound me. Get a life and let her fight her own battles. Back off already. You obviously dislike me so leave it at that. You don't have to reply to every post I make degrading me or my opinions.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
