Personally I would wait to see what the weather is like on Thursday.....Rain or snow.....I am already wearing my weather proof boots for the winter.....so I would say no if the weather is bad or too cold.....otherwise, it's whatever you feel like doing & are comfortable with.

I would say no, because aren't they kind of rubbery? they will pick up every stray cut hair on the floor. when I went to nail school, we had a special rubber broom that really swept clean, I would love to get one for home. so unless you WANT to turn them into "human fur" shoes!

I'm so sorry but I am not a fan! Plus, everyone will pay attention to your bound toes. . . Interesting focal point! .

Are they super comfortable?

Interesting; hadn't considered hair-shoe attraction.

I like the Vibrams, but weather and hair are issues. (I voted "yes" before looking at any of the posts here.)

They are like toe socks, but they are shoes. used for running "barefoot" as they are kinda like a rubber sock, no support. I think they look really cool. as soon as I have abs (am I allowed to say that? right now I am morbidly obese) I am getting a pair!

well, i have decided on my own. i LOVE my shoes and want to wear them everywhere, BUT i love my hair too. and i feel i may distract my hairdresser and if my hair gets messed up it is not worth the comments i could get on my shoes. so i am gonna pass for the cut. i cant risk my hair for my shoes. i can and will wear them for another less risky service, like highlights, in the future.
Thanks for this!

I voted no.. but then I got to thinking... If you feel comfy in the shoes and it isn't snowing, go ahead and wear them. Guess if they attract hair at the salon you can always brush it off when you leave...AM sure you will get a lot of attention when you wear them..

You mentioned wearing them when you get your highlights done. I would hesitate about this because once my color was once spilled, ruined my shoes and pant legs with the splatter. Sometimes there are droplets even if not spilled. As much as I want to wear a particular pair of shoes and if I value them, I don't wear them to the salon for this reason and the ones previously mentioned in the above posts.

Ok, I'm going to share my moment.....for some reason I pictured a classroom of students learning how to make the metal nails with the heads that one hammers into wood with all the bad ones laying around on the floor......then I stopped & did a ....finger nails you silly.

Amazing where our minds can take us at times.....especially since I'm in the middle of nailing the weather stripping all around my front door......I realize where my thoughts were coming from....but it was a really strange picture I saw in my imagination...lol.

i did not wear them, today. I was panicy enough. being a new location i havent been to and being a major cut. as for hair on floor, or spilling any highlight material. thats not a concern, it is a very clean place. and the stylists there have been doing hair since mid 90's. after i got home, i switched to my camo pair and went shopping with my mother, so i did give my shoes some exposure. For those who know about fivefingers, would you please tell me how/when you learned of them.

Eskie & Indie - oh, I just got it! Freud said, a comic says funny things, but a comedian says things funny. So THAT'S why people always stop a moment when I say I went to nail school! It never occurred to me! That is so funny!

Wow, what a collection! You must love them.

I see a fair number of people wearing fivefingers while I'm out running. I first thought they were a bit odd looking, but now I think they're like cool gloves for your feet. I've been having some knee/foot trouble with my lightweight flats lately, so I plan on testing out Vibram Komodosport and Bikila soon. I'm hoping the fivefingers will alleviate my aches and pains...and also, make me go faster

I wore my reds out to the mall, dang too many people i about went into panic mood. But having my shoes on helped keep me calm. Was there because there is a store that was suppose to sell vibram fivefingers, but it was the copies. Alot of shoe companies are starting to make toe shoes, none compare to orginals! I looked them over and had lots of looks and a few comments like "I love your shoes!" on my pair! Apparently there are even lawsuits about taking vibram idea.

Only if you are walking on your hands? I find it too hard to adjust to socks/shoes where my toes are separated, feels uncomfortable to me.

I got some toe socks that are cut off at the tips so you can see your pedicure plus some. I think they were yoga socks. Yeah, all that rough material, the skin between my toes is too tender!

Hey, just letting you know that I decided against Vibrams...it won't work with my specialty running socks. I've never seen anyone wearing these for anything other than running...so I'm sure you're very special and unique in your fivefingers.
