Oh I dunno....what sorts of things do you like? Any hint you can give us to styles, fiction nonfiction, fantasy, historical, etc etc.? I'll bet there's a bit of everything from the folks online here. Shouldn't be too hard to get suggestions.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Kite Runner
A Thousand Splendid Suns
Imaginary Men (Anjali Banerjee)

I haven't read much in the last couple of months, but maybe I'll take up other people's suggestions on this thread

Shanghai Girls was one I enjoyed lately. If you read some of the conversation in the Books, books, books social group, then you might get some ideas there!

Not really knowing what you like is difficult but I can suggest non fiction by Torey Hayden and Cathy Glass and fiction by Jodi Picoult. Those books have not failed to deliver a really good read (but they can be triggering).
