I am glad I sought counselling/therapy. While it seemed a bit annoying sometimes or nonproductive, I realized att the end, the difference it made to at least have somebody to listen, and I actually learned of my distorted thought patterns.

Hello xiloworld, Are you depressed & you know why? Or everything's ok & you are depressed & can't figure out why?
Do your parents know or some responsible adult that could help?
Home shcooling can be a great way to get your education if you like it. Otherwise if you long to be in a reg school it can be lonely & boring. I have seen both sides, don't know your preference but that could be part of it?
I haven't read your profile or other post but when you're comfortable tell us alittle more about yourself.
Take care & keep posting.

Hi! I agree with what kindachaotic says. Do you have any sense of why you might be depressed? Do you think it's something about your life circumstances? You mentioned home-schooling in the context of your post. Do you not like it? Are you needing some friends your own age?

The reason we're asking is that depression can be caused by life circumstances or by problems with brain chemicals (or both.)

Is there someone you can talk to about it? Maybe your parents? A minister? Or a counselor?

We'll be glad to listen if you wish to share more details, too.

As far as getting over it, talking to someone CAN help. Also, coming up with things that you enjoy doing, listening to comforting music, reading uplifting materials, finding things to laugh about, learning to appreciate the positive, etc. Does that help any?

Whenever I went through depression I found talking to someone always helped the most. Maybe go see a counseller or therapist.

I am sorry to hear that you are depressed. It sounds like you do not like being home schooled. Is that the problem? Would you prefer to go to a school where there are more social and sports opportunities?
