I don't think there will be anything with this job I'm not able to handle other than difficulty remembering names and faces, but the others will help with that I think. It's a community service assignment rather than a regular job so I have to be looking for something else. It is nice to have a little money coming in while I'm doing that. No conflicting demands here and no yelling or making fun, so this will be alright except I can't stay here. I hope it takes a while to find something else. I have a feeling a regular job won't go as smooth. Still a little anxiety because it's new but I think it will be ok. This is a boring read I'm sure.

Congratulations! Sounds like the first day was good. I have trouble with names too, it just takes me a little longer than most I think. I think you will do fine!

Maybe you can get lucky and find a similar situation in a "real" job

Day three was chaotic and the head cook was stressed which was hard to deal with. I made a few mistakes which caused anxiety. I learned new stuff today, had appointments and errands after work. I ended up exhausted, aching and depressed. I had a walk this evening with my puppy and that seemed to help.

It's ok your new to the position, your only human; and speaking from personal experience mistakes happen and some of them in my case have been pretty big mistakes oops. But nobody is perfect, give yourself a pat on the back for coping with the stress and more importantly give yourself a break. I'm sure as you learn more in this job they'll be some more ups and maybe downs but that's ok it's only natural. Keep positive, your doing really well

I work in a restaurant, and sometimes I work alongside a head cook, and other days (like today for example, in about 30 minutes) I'm the head cook. Mondays aren't usually busy, but sometimes they are when the weather is nice and today its hot out. I'm not used to being head cook because I don't like working with people I don't usually work with, especially if I have to train them while working. I'm already stressed about it. But I know it's only about 5 hours.I work by myself for 2 hours to start, and, that's never horrible. Bottom line, is that it's just getting used to the surroundings and talking with coworkers so that you're working together to get the food done and out on time. Think of it as a life sized game of Diner Dash Have fun with it Even if it's just volunteering.

Today was a good day. This does seem to be a good place overall. They frequently have sing alongs for the seniors. They've been very encouraging about my work and praise and express appreciation frequently. I get breaks and food and I can run to the potty which was not doable in my last job.
