I didn't get out of bed before 1pm. Now I'm still in my pajamas and I've done nothing but watch TV. I do feel guilty because I truly have no motivation. If it weren't for my family, I'd never get out of bed!! I'm so lazy!

What you describe sounds like depression as I understand it. And it is the dead of winter for you, cold dreary days? And let's not forget everything you've been through with your mom, albeit mostly alone because hubby is working out of town for long stretches of time. My goodness Sabrina, get back in bed and take a nap!!! Kidding a little...my point is you have been and you still are coping with so much.

And your woes have been heavy for some time now. Not just what I mentioned but interference from your ex, hubby's work, losing your precious animals and probably some other things I've not mentioned.

There have been those days when I couldn't put a foot on the floor except to go potty. I believe I understand. I don't have any brilliant ideas you don't already know for yourself, but I have good thoughts for you and want you to be gentle with yourself. You're a good, strong and loving woman who deserves much.

I agree with notz, What you're describing does sound like depression and plus you have been through a lot lately worrying about your mom.

I am in my pajama's too Sabrina, I do understand how this feels. (((Sabrina)))

Don't know about what your life situation is but sure sounds like depression. Negative self-talk and harseness to yourself only hurt please be gentle with yourself.

Thank you. You see, the thing is, I don't think I am all that depressed. I am on meds which completely help my anxiety and most days I don't feel unhappy. I just feel unmotivated and lazy all the time. A low grade depression then?

Take it easy Sabrina, you've been through the wringer. Could be a low grade depression or just good ole mental/physical exhaustion. Be good to yourself
Thanks for this!

Trippin is right, you've been through the wringer as of late. Pressuring and kicking your own butt isn't going to be helpful. Give yourself some good self care. And post about this, I could stand to learn from your experience.

Special hugs my dear friend.

Sabrina, what you described in your first post sounds like my typical Sunday. In my case I'm worn out by Sunday and have no energy to do much. Could the same be true for you?

The other mention you've had a lot going on lately. Could it be that you are worn out and need some time to rest? Being worn out and lacking motivation can feel like depression, but isn't. It's just the mind and body asking for some down time, "down" as in rest not as in depression.
Thanks for this!

Everyone gets days like this - don't beat yourself up, we're only human after all! If this is a long standing symptom of something else all i can suggest is that you get your meds reviewed or try a different medication altogether. Either way i love lazy days - sometimes theres nothing nicer than just relaxing and not having to rush around everywhere.
