AFAIK js is set to enabled by default in IE but you can check to be sure. A little more complicated than FF. Click on internet options from Tools...then in the popup window click the internet icon...click the security tab at the top...go down and click "custom"...a popup will open...scroll down to scripting and find active scripting and choose enable if it isn't already enabled. If you're asked to confirm answer yes. Click okay. You may need to restart IE.
I don't really think js is the problem here but I hope that works for you.

You should have something like this: <a href="javascript:Att_Ajax('userid=198439&amp;postid=2486781','vbstatus/vbstatus_ajax.php')">Edit</a>
in your browser's html page for this site. You don't /shrugs
Could be js but... you sure you enabled js in firefox? Maybe you have some add-ons? I have all kinds of blockers and add-ons but they don't affect the status edit. Ths is the FF menu:

Hey...had written you a longer reply yesterday when the power went off here. As I understand it, the script (.js) calls for a PHP function.... the popup where you edit your updated status. If you have javascript enabled and the script isn't calling the PHP function then it doesn't seem like it could be a problem with the javascript. I don't know what is causing it though. Maybe a plug-in, add-on, or OS setting conflict. I see that Fooze posted in your other thread. Fooze is pretty good at resolving this kind of problem. Knows a lot more about the way this site works than I do.
Do you have other browsers you can try. SR Iron is a very small and light weight browser you could try. You could also try FF in safe mode running w/o add-ons and plugins. Maybe use one of those methods to access the site long enough to update your status and then go back to your normal browser and settings.
One more suggestion until you get this sorted out: put "I am hopeful" in your signature

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
