Hello,

This thread is to talk about the National Hockey League.
I am a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and I like this team because of their play style. I hate the Habs.

There is a lockout actually.

The NHL isn't the NFL. It just isn't as popular as other sports. I am thinking we will not have an NHL season at all this year. I just hope they figure it out soon, and at least give us half a season like the NBA did. This greed is insane. I love Hockey. Big Lightning fan, but I was rooting for the Kings all the way in the Playoffs. I love the underdog, and for the eighth seed to win the Stanley Cup and do it as easily as they did - amazing.

Me, I am a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but in the playoffs last year, I was happy that the Kings won the cup.

I am a loyal Senators fan. The Habs were my favorite team when I was growing up, but that changed after I moved to Ontario from La Belle Province. Unfortunately, I could never appreciate the Leafs.

It would be nice to watch games again.

In 2006 and 2007, the team had magic. There were some players I admired because of their talent, will and personality. I miss Antoine Vermette. He had skill and was a joy to watch.

Ottawa really loves Daniel Alfredsson.

I understand and speak some French. My French is just enough to get by when I visit Montreal.

Southern Ice Hockey Fan Here ... !!!

NHL thread

I Loosely Follow The Original Six:

Boston Bruins
Chicago Blackhawks
Detroit Redwings
Montreal Canadiens
New York Rangers
Toronto Maple Leafs

It's Very Difficult To Get Games On Air Down Here ... Therefore, I Pick Up What I Can When I Can ... If Any Of The Original Six Are Playing I Root For Them ... !!!

Woot! Woot! Woot!

Just their long standing history in the league ... There are some others out there I'm particularly fond of too, but being that I can't see everybody all the time, I just take the historic ones and go from there ... !!!

I'm hoping not all year ... I'd really go through withdrawal if I couldn't see any hockey for a whole year ... !!! ...

Hoping they'll get their issues sorted out and be back out on the ice before the Holidays at least ... ... !!!

I'm quite fond of the Maple Leafs by the way, and I love to hear the Canadian National Anthem as it is so much prettier than our pompous and bombastic one ... I wish we'd change ours to America The Beautiful or God Bless America ... !!!

I think if it continues like that, there will not be hockey for all year.
