I regret I had that mindset, but for many years, I just wanted the bigger and better, and "lusted" over big homes! Now...LOL, I just want convenience, a cheap and clean small space! I have friends who are still obsessed, who are slaves to their property....who spend all their free time on improvements, cleaning, and acquiring! This seems to be the trend. I'm so glad to be free of it! I have just a small box house, built in the early '60's, which has been a real "fixer-upper," and even that's too much for me lately. I'd honestly be okay with a small spare room for sleeping, a place to keep my pets safe, and a space for working on my art.

I've never cared for the fancy houses. Which is good since I couldn't afford one anyway.

I'm still obsessed with real estate. My obsession started with a forced move into a house I hated. Now I'm looking for a home - not a house if you know what I mean. No harm in looking but it does suggest that I'm not happy where I am

I feel like I will be homeless unless the government or my family intervenes, so I just want any decent home.

Im not overly pleased with where i live either but until i start earning again ive decided not to depress myself by constantly looking for somewhere else - it only makes me feel worse. Guess ill just have to work harder on improving where i am now. I don't think ill ever be 100% percent happy with the place - unless im in some giant sprawling grade listed house everything else will just pale in comparison
