I go through phases - at the moment its make up...i don't even wear much but i was an art student hoping to go onto make up and prosthetics so i guess this is just an extension of that. I also collect comics - both vintage and current and i used to hoard books like it was going out of fashion. Interesting thread.

I would love to collect soapstone Inuit sculptures but they are too pricey right now for me to afford. I would love to collect cultural carvings from areas of the world.

I have a collection of novels by favourite authors that I am proud of.

My son is busy collecting empty energy drink cans. Hope that doesn't last!

Vintage anything that catches my eye. Love old radios! There's a place here that sells working models from the 30s/40s/50s+ for a very reasonable price. Driving me mad...been ogling them for months. I have 2 old shortwaves now. One works the other did until I transported it by plane. Anyway...vintage 'stuff'....love it.

Lessseeee...

started off with vintage lace, china and glass, and a few neat pieces of vintage clothing, in my teens.

Moved on to:

books on art, & art appreciation
Cook books
Vintage Christmas ornaments
furniture from the Arts and Crafts period
turquoise jewelry, esp. EARRINGS!
silver bracelets
calico fabric
interesting vintage fabric
interesting ethnic textiles
books on textile arts
vintage kitchen cookware & decorations
Maps

...and would collect dogs, if husband would allow it.

I do not collect things...my grandmother, though, had a little collection of porcelain tea cups and saucers which she gave to me. I keep them carefully wrapped and stored (they hold enormous sentimental value to me. When I think about them, they make me smile).

Well ever since I was a kid I liked collecting bottles alcohol comes in...and now I can drink what is in the bottle before collecting it. But I also like vinyls and so far I have one cassette tape (Iron Maiden-Piece of Mind) but I'll keep my eye out for more. So yeah I guess bottles and vintage forms of albums.

Afraid i've been collecting cats. Have 2 cats , a kitten I just found , and a dog. I swear this kitten is the absolute last one. She was skinny and hungry and I shoved her through neighbor's cat door but she came back to me. Oh and neighbor forgives me.
