God bless everyone in those areas that were badly affected. It's cleared up here, we didn't lose power, and the main roads were ok bc they salted them. I heard last night that almost 40 ppl were dead. I saw the devastation in NYC. I feel so bad for all those folks in the NE. I grew up in South FL and went through Andrew, so I can sympathize.

We were touched by Sandy...a lot of wind, and a lot of rain...a little flood trickling down into our basement, but easily remedied....

My heart absolutely goes out to anyone who was caught in all the loss the storm created.

It was very stressful, but nothing like it was for other people.

My heart goes out to loved ones of those caught in the hurricane areas. To all of those loved ones who cannot reach somebody in the affected areas...keep the faith. I have been trying to contact a former fiance from NJ whose town is still on evac notice and cannot get any information. I understand the stress and panic loved ones from afar may be feeling. Im really scared. Driving around today was god awful. Traffic lights everywhere not working and people just driving around dangerously and carelessly. Trying to get to work, trying to get my life together to rebuild. Seems so impossible. Drove around for an hour trying to find an open gas station so I could fill up my tank, but came up unsuccessful so I am going to try to get by with what I have. This feels so hard....
