Hello everyone,
I thought this would be a good thread to start because everyone has those little things they would like to get off their chest. It is better to get the rant out instead of bottling it up.

I'll start.

I hate they way all of the girls at my school dress. It's a constant fashion show of hot messes and prosti-tots. Honestly how are these girls' parents letting them out of the house like this?! We live in a very nice area and its not like people do not have money for clothing. Seriously if the Jersey Shore and Britney Spears had a trashy baby THIS would be all of the girls at my school. Butt, boobs, even sometimes girls' vaginas are hanging out. Who the hell thinks this is okay?! I'm so glad I am getting far, far away from here in less than a year. It's the only thing that keeps me from going completely crazy.

Of course they're dressing like that! Look at what society and the media tells them they should be! Look at beauty and fashion ads! Look how boys react to girls dressing like that. Most of these girls have low self-esteem (not all, but most) and feel they have to be sexy to be worthy.

I don't have a problem with people dressing sexy, but I do have a problem with the media and society essentially telling girls and women they're only good up to a certain age and only if they dress a certain way and act a certain way. You can dress sexy and be a strong, confident person, but it's not everyone that can do that.

Judging these girls negatively is kicking them when they're down. You should feel sorry for them because they think they're worthless. Maybe their parents are part of the critics.

Sorry, I don't agree, Maven ... they think they're the Latest & Greatest in Hot $h*t & many are financed by encouraging parents to present themselves that way, sought after by the "best" boys available who would of course date no one lesser. It's straight off the TV screen, music video, teen mag. Media Rules.
This generation largely looks alike ... thinks alike ... cuts & pastes their lives together from the internet. The ones I feel sorry for are the thatgirls and those like her who are being ignored not only by the "choice" (or dumber, "choice") boys perhaps but too often by social spheres as well which can impact on education opportunities in high school and college. Thatgirl47 may be the smartest student in her class and have good grades ... but without the right social connections, her chances of a first-rate education go up about to the level of an alley-dwelling rat's ***.

I feel sorry also for those fashionable show-alls whose lifestyle lands them with choices or situations they aren't ready to handle alone yet find all that support to be cute and sexy not there when they grow up suddenly and need serious adults in their lives. Being sexy is little comfort then.

Let those girls have their fun, ThatGirl47. Many of them may be in for a long & lonely middle age as single mothers. Do the best now to give yourself every advantage in life every day. It's your best revenge.

Ok, I don't really feel that sorry for them, either.
