There are probably more people here who can relate to unemployment than people who can relate to dying of cancer. Then again, it could just be random. I show up and check for new posts. I never see more than the first 200 and there are always more than 200 even if I check twice daily. I tend to check a post if the subject line catches my attention. There are 8 pages of new posts usually and I don't want to spend a lot of time. I miss a lot that way. And another thing to consider - there are a lot of people here who are more afraid of living than of dying. Especially living without a job, and bills piling up.

You might get more answers for this question if you asked in the forums for religion and spirituality. I don't pray but I sympathize with your family member with cancer.

I don't go to those forums very often & usually stick with friends here of like faith when it comes to prayer......I do look at new posts when I think to check but with the number of posts that are made here each day I miss more than I see.

I lost my mother to cancer 8 years ago....the trauma I went through with it, I would hope none others would experience.....but it was with a home care person who was a con artist. Lost a friend from church to cancer earlier this year. It's so difficult.....know the feelings you are going through

I'm sorry, Gismo, that you have been feeling unsupported. I sympathize with your distress and I hope the suffering of your loved one is eased. It might help you to know that some people will pray but not necessarily post that they have done so. I send you love.
