Hello robert87: Gee... I don't think I've ever seen a first post, here on PC, where the poster asked a home remodeling question. There may well be some home remodeling experts here on PC. So you may yet receive an answer to your question. But, really, what we're all about here is mental health. Having said that, since this is your first post here on PC... to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! May the time you spend here be of benefit.

Most things can be fixed. Much like paint on a car can be touched up in small areas, the same holds true in the home.

I could give you a step by step fix if you give me more info.
Is it just some chipped paint or is it more ?

yes, if it is just chipped paint? Take in a few chips to your local home and building store. They can match the colour. They can provide a very small tin to do the job.

One paint store told me they have this machine you can borrow & place it over the existing paint & it will give the EXACT paint color needed. Might have to sand doen to make the chipped area smoother & the paint easier to adhear to....but it is doable.

Hmmmm this may in deed be a mental health post as we have no idea WHY the kid slammed the door in the first place & fixing a problem is good for Distress tolerance & it takes the wise mind to figure out the best way to solve the problem & knowing to ask for help on something one doesnt kow how to do is great for Interpersonal effectiveness.

Chipped paint can be repainted pretty easily. And it can be annoying until it is fixed. The hardware store folks can often give advice on the best way to do it.
