Name one good thing about your day so far #3

I went to the library. ^.^

One bill paid and off my conscience for another month.

I went grocery shopping.

I spent the afternoon at a coffee shop with my friend. It was nice to get away from school and assignments. I really needed to see and talk to another human being.

I saw my sister.

well, i have food in my tummy, my dog, my cats, and i'm alive. my bfriend is a good part of my day too and my migraine subsided.

I got a new album and going to chill and listen to it later

It's the end of the day with no more appointments or classes, home sweet home at last.

So I work with a lady that I worked with back in the day - in 1986. . .in an UW department at a different company.
I've been here at this company for almost five years, she's been here longer.
We didn't work in the same department until four months ago.
Every once in a while we would send each other emails.
Just little short how do you do's or funny stories.

I also work with another lady that I kinda roll my eyes at when I see her.
And since we were in separate departments, it was easy to not make much of an effort to socialize with her. But we are in the same department now.

Today, we had an unit meeting and our department VP called on my girlfriend.
I turned to look at her, and low and behold, the other lady started talking.

Evidently, I got them mixed up - I've been sending my old coworker funny stories but snubbing her in person (for the last five years).
And the other lady must think I'm nutso for chatting her up when I see her.

But wait - the day wasn't over yet.

Last night I took a shower right when I got home from work.
This morning at work, I had my usual two HUGE cups of coffee and I assure you, I visited the ladies room SEVERAL times between last night and this afternoon.
Only, it was around noon and I was in the restroom and realized. . .

and I have NEVER done this before,

I had my unmentionables on backwards. Not inside out. But tag in the front - BACKWARDS!
And no, it wasn't comfortable, I just thought that was me being (literally) too big for my britches.

So the good thing about today for me? That I'm home and I'll try again tomorrow.

Heard from a friend today that hadn't in awhile and it was really a nice surprise.

Had a very nice bath and some shepherd's pie.

haven't been hit by any falling locomotives...but I think I'll stop looking up

I am alive! That is pretty good. It will do. Hey, everyone else is alive too? Well break out the bubbly! Let's celebrate this momentous occasion, or else I'm drinking for no reason today.

yes indeed lightbulb. heyyy!! good thing about drinkin' is ya have to tip yer head back. good way to see those falling locomotives even if ya purposefully weren't keepin' an eye on 'em on purpose!

bad thing of course...is that as inebriation progresses, dodging an errant falling locomotive becomes a bit of a challenge...motor skills being compromised n' all.

My son sleeping next to me on the couch. He always looks like an angel sleeping

but I was drinking upside down with a bendy straw...so the locomotives were spouting past my head pretty quickly and I just decided to blow some kill....

I went to an interview for a position as an Executive Chef at a local Elks Club. I am / still pretty stoked about it!! Had a good day, cooked my heart out, showed what I could offer.

Grade came back for one of two tests I took when I was really sick, not sure I believe it considering all that happened leading up to it, but going to take it and run, a .... 91!!!!

I just got off shift and am off for two days. A rare thing in this job.

The sun is shining and saw a mother red fox with her babies toddling behind her as I got the paper this morning. Cute little fur puffs. Precious to watch. Also thankful the dogs listened when I called them back to leave them alone, very grateful.

Getting laundry done, got one med refilled, and invited to a family party tonight. Oh me nerves

I got almost seven hours of sleep last night
