My room is extremely girly, even though I'm not actually super girly...
On 2 walls I have brightly colored flower decals (pink, red, yellow and orange), and on one of the walls w/the flowers I have drawings my sister drew -- Mulan, Simba and Belle. In the corner of that same wall, I have princess balloons my friend got me for my birthday (one is shaped like a tiara and says "princess" and the other has Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella).

On the other wall with the flower decals, I have a bunch of inspirational prayers and poems, all above my bed, going down in a staircase like fashion.

On the third wall, I have a name-tag like thing my sister made me that says my name and is covered in stickers and pictures of Disney characters

The fourth wall has nothing decorative since my closet is there.

And on my desk, I have a glass vase with some fake flowers of different types and colors.

My bed is mainly brown and purple -- brown sheets, brown, pink and purple pillowcases, purple blanket, black/white zebra print blanket (under the purple), and tan blanket on top.

I'm leaning more towards choice 2 because it's bigger and more mature and versatile, but choice 1 is also wicked cute.

Which do you think I should get?

Personally I think choice 1 is really cute, but it would depend on whether it would overpower your room

Choice 2 is really nice though as well!

When looking at rugs, I look at which ones will tie everything together in the room and be either an accent or a good neutral base. If you have a lot of color, I tend to think a neutral base is better, and if there is less color in the room then a rug with color/accents that will help to make the room pop. I am not good at reading descriptions so I can't really help that much. Also look too at the quality such as the weeve and pile of the rug which can give you an indication of the the thickness for how it will feel underfoot and for durability. If it is online, it can be harder to find this info, but here is a little background in selecting rugs....
