I believe Thanksgiving is a US tradition. I'm wondering if other countries have similar celebrations. Tell us what, if anything, you do in your country, please?

South Africans don't do Thanksgiving either. I think it would be nice if we did.

I am in India and we have n number of festivals from celebrating the victory of good over evil to welcoming the spring. We have 30 states and each state has its own new year(religious).... there is so much I can write but no patience..to sum up ours is the most culturally diversified country on earth..

I saw on some website where someone asked do other countries have a holiday like Thanksgiving where you eat tons of food with the whole family and watch sports on Tv and all that, an Italian person answered "we call it Sunday." I lol'd.
We don't have anything like it here in Ireland.
