Welcome to the first day of your life

Just open up your eyes as I lay you down tonight
Safe on the other side
No more tears to cry

I got dinner from Golden Corral for Thanksgiving to take to my mom in physical rehab. I brought the leftovers home and had no room for them, anyway, so I gave them to the cat outside. I hate to see food go to waste, and I'm always happy to share food with an animal.

First off turkey sandwiches with mayonnaise on hawaiian bread, then turkey pot pie made with leftover stuffing (bake in layers), Shepherds's pie next with the leftover mashed potatoes and carrots. Great thread!

We had turkey pot pie last night for supper. It was wonderfully yummy. Best way to get rid of that leftover turkey ever.
Thanks for this!

My adoptive mom is an incredibly intelligent woman. Unfortunately, she has perfected the art of Thanksgiving portions. We use to have boatloads of left overs after Thanksgiving (to my delight!!), for the past three years there hasn't been any left -- and yet everyone finishes dinner completely satisfied.

How does she do that?

I miss my left overs!!
Thanks for this!

Odee, next year, slip your mom a bigger turkey and put a little extra into the amounts she buys at the supermarket (offer to make the purchases for her). Then, when she's serving dinner, excuse yourself and sneak into the kitchen and hoard like mad!!! You might be able to get away with putting it in the fridge, but I'd recommend buying a mini-fridge and putting it in your room with a lock and key, to store the extra in. It'll be ALL YOURS!
