If you google celebrities with mental illnesses, there are a shocking number that come up with all sorts of various disorders. my personal idols are justin timberlake and howie mandel (both of which hav the same disorders as I hav). Its comforting to know that there are highly successful ppl out there who are just like us in a way. who are your idols? (they dont hav to be well known celebrities, or celebrities at all... just whoever inspires you)

I'm very grateful for Temple Grandin because I have a son with an autism disorder. she is not a celebrity but is a well known scientist who overcame a lot of obstacles to become very successful in her work .

As odd as it may sound my idol when it comes to mental illness is Eminem and really I am not sure he has mental illness however he overcame so many negative things in his life and seems to have really turned things around for him and his children.
Good topic

Temple Grandin...I've seen a little of her on television. She spoke in our town some time ago. Her work with autism and observing her personal successes put her above mere celebrity. Celebrity...what an empty designation for so many.
