I love Ted.com for educational and informative videos.

And phys.org for the latest in science news covering most areas of science.

(Just re-read the OP...guess I haven't had enough coffee yet. Looking for documentary type sites..TED is sort-of one, but educational in nature. Phys.org is strictly science news. Sorry if they don't apply, but I'll leave them up in case someone else is interested.)
