Well, I'm not having a great weekend, recovering from a winter vomiting virus and then while I'm on PC I hear a massive crash in the garden. It is blowing a hoolie outside and I thought it might be the rabbit hutch. But no, it was a 30ft tree that has fallen on top of our garage, narrowly missing our house. The garage looks pretty flat but I can't see properly in the dark so I'll have to see the damage tomorrow. Amazing how the wind can push over a 30ft tree just like that. I guess we are lucky nobody was hurt.

The rabbit is fine. I can't get to my car though because of the whacking great tree in the way! I'll have a proper look tomorrow. Lucky the car wasn't in the garage!

Yikes Pegs!

Thankfully, no one was hurt ~ that must have been quite a surprise for you though!! Hopefully, you have home insurance that will cover the accident. Gentle hugs sent your way...

Rosie is about 4 now and she is as gorgeous as ever, Zach is 2 and he is deaf but he has a good teacher in Rosie.

The garden looks really surreal with this huge tree taking up all the space, it's an evergreen so it's still difficult to see what damage there is. Will get on to the insurance people on Monday. I'm still feeling yuck with this bug so it's a real effort to take it all in. The dogs think barking at it in a mad fashion will solve the problem!

Ah yes! The typical dog solution to a problem - bark at it until it goes away or the people do something about it. Mine do the same thing!

Pegs, too bad there's a ocean between us or I'd come over with my chainsaw and chop up the tree and cart it off for you.

Oh I just hate pine trees because they have such shallow root structure.
