I am like you. Used to I would make them, but like you said they are rather pointless. It is good to set goals for yourself, but few happen to actually end up doing their resolutions. I would rather just do it, not tell myself I am going to. New Years was always my favorite holiday, but now... I hate them all.

I'm with you katya! I just enjoy it day by day. Every New Year resolution started out with a new gym membership and me trying to get out of it by mid year LOL.

So now I don't bother.

So my new resolution is not to have any resolutions!

I have never made resolutions simply because of a new year. I tended to be poor in goal setting. However, I am going to try it this year and see if I can set a few small ones for myself.

I have!!!!! Loose 6 pounds as per Dr's orders, begin riding my horses again, and yes - try to keep my house clean (ghrrrrr). I hate cleaning, laundry.... and such, and usually just take my glasses off when I want to avoid the obvious!!! Happy New Year 2013!!!
Thanks for this!

I do I decided to "deactivate my fb account until further notice"

I noticed that in all honesty, logging on to it each day was making me feel worse, and did more harm than it did any good! Seeing pics and posts and thinking "Oh great... I can't believe they didn't invite me to that party. wow look at all the fun I missed" or "Oh there goes so and so, bragging about all the materialistic BS she's recently acquired" and then of course, I go and post about important stuff going on in my life, like how I'm finally done with community college and applied for my AA and I then I get super bummed when I log in later to see maybe one or two likes about that... but then "so and so" got 10+ likes on her "Omg I can't believe I'm up so early! What should I eat for breakfast? I'm craving donuts but I know I shouldn't, hehe" or whatever the crap... arg, makes me unnecessarily upset lol.

Idk, i feel fb is very "showy" and "look at me, look at me!" and unless you're single or have a new baby which you wish to share pics with to your relatives who live across the country (neither situation fits me btw) it's just kind of pointless and really does more harm on my mental state then anyyyyyy sort of good. I'm giving up the FB addiction for a happier, healthier me

Feel free to try it! It's hard at first, but then you can't believe how much time you wasted on that dreadful site.
