Possum, I am not familiar with Willy Wagtails or Indian Minors. What continent are you located on?

Fluttrbye, I didn't participate in the backyard bird watch, but I enjoying watching birds. I live way out in the country and get to see lots of different kinds of birds. In the last week I've seen ring necked doves, osprey, sandhill cranes (must have been twenty of them all together!), wild turkey, turkey vultures, Marsh Hawk, red tailed hawk, cattle egrets, crows and what the Petersen guide calls "confusing brown warblers."
A few months ago I had the great luck to see two sandhill cranes doing their mating dance. What a treat! A pair of ring necked doves have built a nest in the barn. They are raising their second clutch of babies this season. |

I live in Australia flutterbye.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Myna Thought you might like some pictures. The Mynas are decimating our native birds. They will even dive bomb humans. |

That Willy Wagtail is quite trusting in the video. The Myna bird as a pest in Australia reminds me of what folks here in the USA think of two species here: European Starling and House Sparrow. Most folks who put bird feeders out don't like how both these two species take over feeders and think of them as pests.

When I used to have a cat the starlings would dive bomb her. Grrrr.
I do like the Willy Wag Tail.... and I have to say I have never see one as tame as in that you tube video. But they are cute and bossy but the bark doesn't match their bite. lols I must admit I do have a soft spot for sparrows but we must not be that over run with them. |

It seems every spring and summer here we see different baby birds that either fall out of their nest too early or are being watched from a distance by their parent.
We have had baby white breast nuthatches, robins, northern cardinals, blue jays, mallard ducks, red wing black birds, doves, red bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers among the babies we've seen.
