I do want to understand it. In your picture to me it looks like a camera. How does it work? How can mentally ill people be on it? (I don't even know what an "app" is. )

not trying to be offensive payne but are you by any chance an older person?

an app is an application for short. smartphones have apps.

its like a photo log of whatever you want to show. some people take pics of their pets. a lot of people take pics of nature. or just anything.

i say theres people with mental health issues on there because some peoples pics are all about what they go through.
warning though - some pics are triggering - ive seen some people take pics of their self harm areas.

its hard to explain if you dont even know what an app is.

Yeah, you caught me. I'm an old lady of 58. I played with baby dinosaurs, took a ride on the ark, and was living at the time when only a limited number of TV channels existed, and TV stations went off at midnight. Computers needed entire rooms, and people had to use key punch machines to punch cards for the computer to read. Telephones were all black and had rotary dials. And so forth.

In some ways, those days were better!

Thanks for being tolerant and trying to help me understand better!

I thought Instagram was another website like Facebook where you post pics. The description I heard about Instagram was, "It's Facebook for people who can't read." LOL!

I can't keep up with all this Internet technology! And I'm getting older, too! Tomorrow (March 4th), I'll be *GROAN!* 45!
