I'm happy. I got my letter from my bankruptcy trustee yesterday, saying I was officially discharged from bankruptcy effective April 7. This is a huge relief.

It means I no longer have to do mandatory reporting each month to the trustee, and to my accounting regulatory body.

It also means in theory that I could apply for a secured credit card, and start rebuilding my credit, but since I've been managing fine for the last 9 months without one, I think the prudent thing to do is wait, until I have a job.

I'm so relieved.

I filed for bankruptcy about 8 years ago and remember what a welcome relief that letter was. Congrats!

I was discharged from bankruptcy a year ago and still do not have a credit card. It is tough to get back to it afterwards.

Congratulations! That is good news. I wish I had the money to file. It is pretty bad went to can't even afford to file for bankruptcy. I know I have missed out on lots of job opportunities because I am afraid to answer my phone. I am so glad for you though, you have come through many struggles and survived. Way to go my friend!
