I listened to heavy metal and hardcore metal. Actually still do. Bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Slayer, Beastie Boys (when they were hardcore and when they turned to rap) and a bunch of other bands mostly local ones.

I used to be really into the metal scene yet i never looked metal. It has been a long time since I last seen a show. This from a guy who has seen 1000+ shows. I was 14 when I seen my first show and after that it turned into almost an obsession. At the peak I was seeing 4-5 shows a week, some weeks I was even able to go every night.

I was a teen in the nineties, but I had such weird taste in music for a teenage girl. I liked listening to old musical soundtracks like "My Fair Lady." I also liked listening to movie soundtracks like The Last Emperor and Chaplin. I also liked Nat King Cole and The Glenn Miller Band.

Too Many to name. But the 1st album I ever got with my own money was Led Zeppelin ...I saw everyone from The Beach Boys to The Who & everything/everyone in between. I Loved Live Shows! All kinds! My oldest sister got to see the Beatles at Hollywood Bowl & I cried! I was too little... still a lucky teen in the L.A. music scene though ~ I saw everyone I could

I was a teen in the late eighties and early nineties and listened to a lot of music . In my early teens, I listened to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, CSN, CCR and the like. Late teens switched over to Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Depeche Mode, OMD, The Smiths, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Jane's Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, PJ Harvey, Love and Rockets, Peter Murphy, Tori Amos, Skinny Puppy. I still listen to all that today, it just depends on my mood. I feel the music of today all sort of sounds the same and is not nearly as creative.

Alternative, classical, oldies, 70's-80's. When I was growing up I was raised on Creedence Clearwater Revival, Michael Martin Murphy, Kenny Rogers, and a lot of rock from the 70s-80s era, like Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, The Ramones, Black Sabbath, etc.

Presently, as a soon-to-be 48 year old...I love Marianas Trench!!! Still like the modern groups, and all the way back to the 40s big band and Artie Shaw before my time.

Boy! I was afraid to date myself. Some of you beat me to it! My teens were late 60s-early 70s. I listened to all sorts of music from the Kingston Trio, Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary to (blush!) the Monkees and Donovan to Three Dog Night, Grand Funk, The Doors, Steppenwolf, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Johnny Winters, Blue Oyster Cult, Deep Purple, Beatles.... there's more, but I can't remember them all.

Someone mentioned disco. I was in my 20s when disco hit. I HATE disco!
Thanks for this!

Hi,
I listened to K.C. & The Sunshine band (love them still)
Wild Cherry (they sing play that funky music)
I did listen to some disco I was young.
I also loved rock music The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Clear Creedance Rival? Sorry the memory is vague, Bob Seger songs especially Main Street OMG makes me real heart sick for the 70's & California, Carol King was an ultimate favorite I listened to her a lot after I got taken away from my Mother in the custody battle early 70's.
I love music.
I still love all this music and I want to buy them on CD.
One day, I hope to buy a turn table, then buy all vinyl albums cause I still miss it.
Hate CD's.
Thanks for your thread.
