Birthdays can be very depressing since I feel like nobody really cares about my birthday. but then again, I feel like on my birthday people can be saying really mean things about me so i don't want to give out my birthday. I am always afraid that they might be invoking evil against me.

I used to hate my birthdays too. I'm a winter solstice baby, so it always got overlooked cuz it was so close to Christmas. And I was sick pretty much every year. But ever since I entered recovery my perspective has changed. I enjoy my birthday. I go out of my way to make it special for myself.

I'm sorry you hate your birthday so much. I have learned to enjoy a day with my family when I can or I just try and make it special for myself. I am getting older and I should be sad. but I am not.
I hope you get over this. Even if you don't celebrate it or want to tell anyone, do something nice for yourself the day of and you will feel better. Hugs.

I enjoy my birthday in some ways, but not like I used to. Every time my age changes, I just feel less good about myself. I don't want to get old.

I hate birthdays too. Why do we assign and celebrate year milestones in our life?
Ignoring the fact time isn't linear, which probably isn't applicable anyway... We are constabtly aging. Today I am a day older than I was the day prior. On my birthday I shall be a day older than... Apart from all of that, it's a reminder of memorable events of birthdays prior.

Not a big fan of celebrating my birthday. It is uncomfortable for me. I would rather that day go by quietly and without any acknowledgment. Frankly, for me, it just marks the day my mother abandoned / rejected me.

I don't think people are necessarily invoking evil against you. I don't mind birthdays. I just mind getting older and taking one more step closer to my grave. hehe. And my birthday is less than a month away. heh
