Sitting here basking in the delicious smell of southern bbq pork chops in my oven. I think I like the smell of them cooking more than the taste! Is that weird?? Lol

Not weird at all. Opening a can of Folger's coffee and smelling the aroma is much better than tasting the coffee a few minutes later.
And, some Saturday afternoons in the back yard I smell charcoal lighter fluid from a nearby neighbor's house. Brings fine memories. |

I agree to the coffee thing. Much easier for me to enjoy the smell than the taste. I enjoy the smell of food cooking, for sure. It was one of the few things I could consistently look forward to growing up: both my parents cooked and baked regularly and there were few times when delicious smells were not wafting through the house.

Enjoying the aroma of a good home-cooked meal, over the actual tasting of it...not weird, at all. ((even if BBQ pork sounds like it tastes as fantastic, as it sounds!!! YUM!!))

Lol it really didn't taste as strong as it smelled, which I rather expected based on the recipe. Just needs a little more oomph; i may experiment with it a bit more next time.
Now the chuck roasts? They always taste as good as they smell! But I do so much enjoy filling the home up with it for hours before hand. Sent from my SCH-I405 using Tapatalk 2 |
