100 degree temps here. My three pets and I are just staying inside! I learned last year with the storm and no electricity during a similar heatwave to keep the window blinds closed during the day to conserve coolness. Doing the same now, even w/air conditioning. I have a little 15 foot pool in the back yard. It is like a hot tub!

Here in the UK right now we have a heat wave too, I love the summer but it is very hot here, Yesterday was high 90's I would think, we simply are not used to that kind of heat here but I do have a tan, I feel sorry for my dog though he look's exhausted.

We got rain last night and it's finally cooling off. It's been heck. I was a little delirious tuesday it was so hot. I wasnt thinking right. So I just stayed home the next few days. Not worth going out. I was only going to t, but still. It got kind of scary. Much better now. Hope everyone stays safe.altho it does get boring - I have summer cabin fever!

Welcome to Houston everyone
Seriously yes, it is very hard on pets. They don't have the biological mechanisms to cope with extreme heat. If you can't keep your pets indoors in the hottest part of the day then try to arrange for some shade and plenty of water.
