Watching/reading something light-hearted and uplifting often really helps, having long conversations with my girlfriend and her mom, listening to music...Sometimes just going out and getting some fresh air is all I need to feel at least a bit better

The right combination of sounds in a sequence. A hard perspective in an image. Some one you trust (baby)making physical contact.

A shower with nice smelling soap. A good mystery novel, or interesting biography. A long drive in the country. A good meal that I cooked.

My crystal collection is really fascinating to me and it's a place where I can really be myself detached from life's worries for a while.
Hugs help boost my mood.
Sleep .... It's very, very rare that I ever wake up in the morning with the same intense stress as I had the day/night before. Sleep has its way of organizing things and putting them into perspective. Everything seems at least a little more manageable after a good night's sleep.
Chocolate actually seems to boost my mood when all else fails. I mean this, seriously. It didn't use to help, but lately I've noticed that having a bar of chocolate actually does seem to make things less stressful for the day.
Creative writing - it feels great when I feel I've managed to get it all out in a coherent and artistic way. Even if it intensifies the feeling as I'm writing about it, when I'm done I'm so proud of the result that I feel better..
I also have this list I started years ago where I have the sweetest things people have said to me. If I can find it in myself to read it when I'm upset, it actually helps quite a bit.

Snuggling with my cat and putting cat videos on youtube for him. He loves them! (Especially the Nat'l Geographic tiger/lion hunting vids.)

Great Topic btw!
