Hey guys and girls!

I just post this thread in anyone else here walks barefoot too, I'm being curious how many of you actually do ! best part about this place is that I have a huge forest right behind my house where I can go walk barefoot .
So how about you people? Do you?

Have a nice day! (or night)

I am never without some form of foot covering, shoes, boots, socks, moccasins, sandles..... it hurts too much to go barefoot

I used to when I was younger (teens) and would quite happily walk around (even on the street barefoot) but sadly with litter and broken glass about I prefer not to risk it these days.

I never wore shoes at home when I was growing up on a farm. And I don't always wear them in the house. But I do slip some on even to go to the mailbox these days.

When I can, but generally, it's not a safe idea, ... glass, bites, other sharp objects, and such like.

I cannot stand being barefoot and the thought of walking anywhere outside of my home without shoes on just gives me the heebie jeebies!!!! I love my slippers and when it is hot, my flip flops. Always wearing shoes!

If I could I'd go barefoot everywhere. I go barefoot in the house, but don't want to risk it outside.

And I delay putting on socks for as long as possible.

After treating all the parasites that enter in through the skin from people walking barefoot, I prefer shoes outside but walk barefoot inside.

I walk barefoot, inside; shoes outside. When I was younger, and lived in more rural locations, barefoot, outside, too.

Connections. Barefoot is great for freedom, like nudity I guess. My husband wears socks and slippers most of the year while I never wear shoes inside. Sand and grass are best experienced with naked feet!

It depends on where you're talking about. In my own home? Almost all the time (about 99%). The first thing I do when I enter my apartment and close the door is take off my shoes (and socks if I'm wearing them). The only time I have anything on my feet inside is if I'm abnormally cold.

I'll also do things like go up the stairs to my mailbox barefoot, or even sometimes out to the dumpsters.

Beyond that, in public, I wear shoes. I don't trust the ground most of the time.
Thanks for this!

I'm a barefoot hippie. I also hate socks. If I have to wear shoes, it's birkenstocks, and in the winter (I'm Canadian) I wear slip on boots that can come off as soon as I'm indoors. I'm barefoot at work right now. If someone comes in, I can slip on my sandals before they see my scruffy feet!

The only time I wear anything on my feet in the house is if it's cold. I'm like SingDanceRunLife. First thing I do when I come home at night is pull my shoes off. When I was younger I went barefoot as much as I could. Now I work in a professional setting. I have to wear shoes to work, but I've been known to take my shoes off and walk around the office in sock feet if we don't have clients in the office. Not willing to walk around the office barefoot because who knows what people tracked in on their shoes! While I'd like to go barefoot outside around the farm I don't very often. In part my feet have gotten more tender from wearing shoes during the day. In large part though there's no telling what I might step in around the farm. I have no interest in stepping barefoot in "leavings" from the horses. We also have a nasty weed here called sandspurs. They are wicked to step on barefoot!
Thanks for this!

Yup, like most people who answered so far, I'm a Barefoot Baby. I would go without shoes completely if it was socially acceptable to do so.

Sandals and light shoes are what I wear the rest of the time.

In winter, I pull those boots off AFAP and stretch out those tootsies.

I love being barefoot. I love lake swimming and having the sand between my toes. I even go bare foot to the mail box and across to the neighbours. Freedom. When I'm not barefoot I wear "barefoot" shoes. lol.
Thanks for this!

I lived on a farm growing up and was for the most part barefooted. I have scars to prove it!

Today, I am always barefoot in the house and also when I walk back and forth from the pool. Unfortunately I live in a concrete jungle and barefoot outdoors is not an option anymore
Thanks for this!

I love being barefoot. I used to walk everywhere barefoot as a kid, and still go out in the garden or driveway barefoot but it's not safe anymore to walk barefoot on pavements like I used to with everything that's on them now I hate wearing socks and shoes, I *wont* wear tights.
