Definately Yankee, only 39% southern. My father's mother was 100% North Carolina and my father's father, 1/2 Minnesota parents, half Connecticut. My mother's parents were both 1/2 "newcomers" from England/Ireland but otherwise, Michigan. Interesting since I was "raised" for the first couple years by the North Carolina grandmother (but she'd graduated from college in Idaho and lived most of her adult life in Washington State).

39% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee.

I'm from the Mid-West is that considered Yankee?

A region of the north-central United States around the Great Lakes and the upper Mississippi Valley. It is generally considered to include Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.
The area is known for its rich farmlands and highly industrialized centers.

Yankee- wheeler-dealer
Definition: shrewd operator
Synonyms: big-time operator, gamesman, horse trader, operator, strategist

I don't know Are you a Yankee or Rebel? Thank goodness it's just a game Are you a Yankee or Rebel?

ROFL!! It's not a sport, Hon. It's about a geographical location in the US. Back in the 1860's, the country split up over several issues, one of them being slavery. The South (Rebels) was for, the North (Yankees) against. We had our own Civil War.

Those issues don't exist anymore, but I align myself with the South or the "Rebels" because I've always been a rebel in my personal life.

Have you ever seen Gone With the Wind? I suggest you rent the movie and watch it. Are you a Yankee or Rebel? The female lead, Scarlet O'Hara, had a habit of saying "I'll think about it tomorrow" when things got tough. Avoidant Personality? Who knows, who cares. It's a great movie!! Are you a Yankee or Rebel?

I am very caustious when people use that phrase... It means there's a lot of bring stuff to sit through to get the story..... My mom made me watch that movie... I can't remember the name.. The theme song is "somewhere my love"... Lara was the main female role... mmhh, anyway, it was good, but they make you sit there for hours on end to get to the point!!!
