I was watching the late news last night and heard George Dubya say this on his reaction to losing the senate and house of reps:

Hahahaha, wow. I read that he now fully sees that because of the sweep of democratic votes, that the American people are really unhappy with the state of the nation. Guess he really didn't know before....Yay Dems!!!

Hum, I think he meant something it just did not come out the right way. Poor guy, he has a really harsh job and he is doing a great job but yet people are so cruel and rude to him. HE HAS A REALLY HARD AND BIG JOB! Not many could do as well as Dubya. I am sure there is some logic in there. (((Dubya)))

Sarah, I'm with you. He did his best with what he had. Sure! He made mistakes, but don't we ALL?? He's never been the best speaker, but then Moses, the man that led the Jews out of captivity stuttered! LOL And by the way, Moses didn't get to go into "the land of milk and honey," either. Doesn't mean HE was bad... neither is the President.

I too have mixed feelings about George Bush....never really liked him, feeling he is a shallow fella, but I watched the Nat'l Geographic program the other evening recounting 9/11, and I have to say I was touched by the way he and the nation responded. What a tragedy. Whether the consequences of war, and continued war have been the correct response, I'm unsure. I'm a pacifist by nature, and generally against war. I have to wonder if all of this deployment hasn't been over oil.

Since this thread started with, and is continuing on with, a political tone, I'm going to go ahead and lock it.
Please limit the discussion of politics. Thanks! KD
