What is everybody's favorite genre of music?

Medieval, Gregorian chant, Baroque, Classical, Romantic......not as fond of 20th & 21th century harmony music.....but some is really ok to listen to.

Played piano from the time I was 5 years old.....took flute in Junior High & played it through college & my AA degree in music....& until a few years ago when my flute was stolen out of my truck & never to be seen again. I always loved listening to flute music especially but now it's sort of depressing at times because it takes my thoughts to places that aren't happy even though I do love sound of the flute.

Almost nobody has ever heard of the music I like: underground, political rap/hip-hop. Instead of lyrics about women and wealth that many people associate with rap/hip-hop, the lyrics are about current events, ideology, history, etc., and many people could learn a thing or two from these rappers.

My favourite rapper is without a doubt Immortal Technique, a Marxist rapper from Peru. The first time I listened to his music was on his album ‘The 3rd World.’ The money he made from that album went to build an orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan, which he oversaw himself.

Soundtrack/classical...then sometimes rock with some pop/alternative.
