Altho I use aspects of Facebook to post, recently I want to post on another spot of Facebook, but my posts do not appear. Is there something that I must do in order to be accepted into that spot - just not sure what the steps are. My own investigation to find out has not produced explanation. So just hoping someone here might have some suggestions. Thanks.

Some of the terminology on Facebook is not entirely clear to me - so I figure that the "spot" that I wanted to post in - must probably be a group that I have to join first. So I received a message from someone who noticed my request, and guided me to yet another "group" - so I clicked to join (and it states that it is a closed group). So I figure that it is maybe necessary to wait for an admin or someone to accept me into that group before I can make any posts in that group. Yesterday I was reviewing internet Facebook instructions and tutorial, in order to better understand Facebook. Probably my posts weren't appearing on the first group because it likely isn't set to public. Probably they have their group set to closed, which means that they can read my posts, but the public cannot. Because my posts (testing) appeared in my activity log, but aren't visible on the group. So if I ever hear from the admin about whether they've accepted me for joining their group - then that'll be when my posts become visible.

Closed groups are moderated indeed - you need to wait until you get a notification that someone accepted your request to join. Then you will be able to post to the group and interact there. Hope that helps.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
