Anyone out there like to cook? I need your advice, then! I am desperate for a Christmas present for my nephew. He *thinks* he wants to be an English teacher, but he spends all his spare time making elaborate meals for his friends, and every time he comes home he makes elaborate dinners and breads and desserts (on his parents' budget, of course! LOL).

My philosophy is: If it can't be nuked, boiled, or eaten straight out of the package, I don't bother. I don't like to cook, I don't want to learn how, if I could afford it I would eat out a lot more than I do. But something cooking-related is the only thing I can think of for Joe. I just don't know where to start!

His big sister likes to cook too, but I got her a Rachael Ray cookbook because I know that's her favorite. Joe watches whatever comes on Food Network, indiscriminately. presents for foodies

Any ideas would be great! presents for foodies Thanks!

CB

Does he grill? There's a terrific guy on WLRN or PBS that grills everything and also has books.

Don't know how much you want to spend, but you can look for different ethnic cookbooks online at reduced costs like through ebay and such. May I suggest a Romanian cookbook, they have some DELISH meals presents for foodies presents for foodies
