Attitude.. OMG.... AJ's boss is on his back about getting to work at 9:15 and he should be at work at 9. So AJ says ooo well my boss is just being a jerk. I work late almost every day......Being 15 or 20 minutes late for work should not be a big deal.......

SO I say.. OMG "da mama talks".... OO AJ you need to be at work on time. Being late everyday, no matter how late your work at night, doesn't help with
good reviews... or even a raise.... let alone job security...

He bites me and saysssssssss "mom, times have changed since you worked. And in MY line of work "programming" things are all too different....15 minutes late should not be a big deal.... he stands his grounds....

He says I am so outdated.. Gosh.... I don't think getting to work on time is all that out dated..... Shakes my head in disbelief........ wow... he needs an attitude adjustment big time........

just talking ..... kind of disappointed in what AJ said this morning... I thought he knew better....

It's a big deal because it's disrespectful. Regardless of company rules and getting his work done, he needs to be there when people need him.

I agree, if you are expected at 9 you should be there and ready to work at 9. Nothing new about responsibility.

No one of the fundamental rules of employment is puntuality. It shows an almost anarchic attitude in the eyes of the boss. Its such a simple thing too. Turn up on time. Thats why its seems as deliberately disrespectful. I hate lateness and where I work, even in my incestuous/ clique workplace- if you are late, we, those who can turn up on time, all roll eyes at each other and quietly tut and the boss snarls and blurts sarcasm. Message to AJ!!... get to work on time they are talking about you!!
Thanks for this!

I agree Citrine.. It is such a simple thing to do... Be at work on time! Not only are they "talking" about him, his boss is snarling at him... And in my opinion, "the boss" is the last person I'd want to make angry... or get on his bad side.....

I'm with you Webgoji and Gayleggg...It is disrespectful when one gets to work late everyday and being responsible is the same today as it was l00 years ago...

Thinks AJ best "wise up" real fast..................
