It's not me is them
It has nothing to do with Liberal verses Conservative it has to do with caring & compassionate verses self centered snobs.

I lived in Los Angeles all my life one of the most liberal areas of the US & found almost NO caring or compassionate people at all. I moved about 7 years ago to about the most Conservative place in the US & i am surrounded by the most awesome & caring friends & even just people in passing i don't know i have ever met in my life.

The difference is also me...I am happy now & i interface & care about others...when it's a one way street & WE are wanting THEM to do all the caring it's NOT going to happen

You are very fortunate to have found that. by liberal i meant minded not political just in case that came across wrong.
Ireland is afterall a very small country mostly still in the grips of a backwards church.

The people here are most definitely more laid back take life a little slower, enjoy a laugh. But as soon as you mention contraption, STD's or Mental health issues....they have no interest.

LOL....I'm 61...but call that "old fashined" not conservative....those caught in old fashined ways of thinking.

It's so important for conservative thinking people to be involved in these topics as we see the help & solutions in a different light also & that input is so important than sticking one's head in the sand & responding in silence. I have found the compassion & caring that comes from conservatives to be more genuine in my life
